Is it okay to walk dogs in this warm weather?
The answer is yes, in moderation. Even as it heats up in the summer months on the coast here, your dogs can still have a walk.
Dogs who are left home all day while owners are away need stimulation, both physical and mental. If this stimulation is not provided, your dog could pick up some less than desirable behaviors (digging, tearing up things in the home, barking, etc).
Having a professional dog walker come by at some point during the day to walk/play with your dog is just what he or she needs. Your pet care provider can adjust the walk to focus on shaded areas - or if an older dog, they can take them out for a potty break, then bring them back inside for playtime.
Having a professional pet sitter come by, stimulate your pet, check water (add ice cubes for some) and offer companionship, give a treat ~ they will be SO happy!! You don't have to wait for cooler weather. Your dogs will adore this service year round! Thank-you for reading!
