August 25, 2012, Carlsbad: Broker, Gary Nessim of HomeLife Village Realtors decided to bring some excitement into the City with local artists and musicians, the street corner became a buzz.

August 25, 2012, Carlsbad: For a special Saturday treat, Broker, Gary Nessim of Homelife Village Realtors decided he wanted to bring some excitement into the City of Carlsbad. So he coordinated with Cheryl Ehlers, and her group of very active artistic friends and entrepenaures , to bring some color to the corner of Grand Ave and State Street. For four hours the corner was transformed into a hopping place on Saturday, August 25th. Free to the publce they servedd rootbeer floats, fille it with colorful art and wonderful musician as they drew people into town.

In comes the spotlight, on a magical dragon named "Grog", a 10' woode creation by loca artist,l Thomas Thomas, who dispersed the rootbeer floats to the crowd and provded the magic dragon dust that sprinkled the day.

Everyone love it!.  As they slurped on drinks, they browsed colorful art displays by local artists, Cheryl Ehlers, Stephen Gary, Karla Nederhof, and Thomas Thomas, along with John Juggler, the chaulk artist who designed the symbol of HomeLife Village Realtors, Jerome the Gnome on the sidewalks.  Entertainment was indeed at  an all time high as excited and newly name ukulelei group " Alhoa Strings", jumped in to play with Kelli Ross-Mau; and his steel drumband with songbird Janice Thompson, closing the event.  It was a great collaborative event.

The event was a huge success stated, Gary Nessim of HomeLife Village Realtors, and there are possible plans to bring in a few more small events to encourage attendance into the city.   It is hoped that other vendors in the City might tag onto the idea and gain interest in presenting some of their own events to keep the activity flowing and keep the arts alive that exist in the city.  It always takes a village and we have some of the most incredible artists in town who want the public to know they are still out there, and enjoy gathering for good causes and supporiting art in the community, stated Cheryl Ehlers, Artist and Event Coordinator.

We hope that there will be more.  if your looking forward to another event, contact Gary Nessim, Broker at HomeLife Village Realtors at 760.729.3333.
