Kids getting bored?

August may be here but summer is not over just yet! It's not too late to sign your children up for end-of-summer camps and classes and get them involved in their Carlsbad community.

August may be here but summer is not over just yet! It’s not too late to sign your children up for end-of-summer camps and classes and get them involved in their Carlsbad community. From golf to dodge ball and from 3-D art to hip hop, the City of Carlsbad offers something to suit every child’s interests this month.

Be sure to check out Go Green Recycling 101, running from Aug. 6-10,  where 5- to 12-year-olds will learn how to recycle old stuff to make cool new stuff and discover new ways to make money, reduce waste and preserve natural resources.

Or get your kids out and moving at Master Sport Dodge Ball, a week-long camp Aug. 13-17 featuring favorites like dodge ball, paintball and Capture the Flag. They will not only be beating the end-of-summer blues, they’ll also be making friends, exercising and building speed, agility and coordination.

If your child is more artistically inclined, be sure to try Wicked Cool 3-D Art, where they’ll have the chance to create paper mache, mobile and mosaic masterpieces from Aug. 13-17. They’ll build confidence and make invaluable memories as they express themselves through art.
