The seven steps include: being physically active, keeping a healthy weight, eating a healthy diet, maintaining healthy cholesterol levels, keeping blood pressure down, regulating blood sugar levels, and not smoking.

When you consider these steps it is important to note that plenty of other research shows exercise will help keep your weight down, regulate blood pressure and blood sugar. If you can manage to get more physically active you will be on your way to achieving 4 of the seven steps.
