New Carlsbad Sushi Restaurant Plans for Fall 2013 Opening
Blue Ocean Robata & Sushi Bar will occupy a 3,000-square-foot facility in Carlsbad Village that was once home to Chin's Szechwan Cuisine.
Updating a previous Patch story from May, a fancy sushi lounge is being planned in Carlsbad, with an opening date in the Fall of 2013.
Blue Ocean Robata & Sushi Bar will be the latest eatery from the owners of Love Boat Sushi, which has four other locations in San Diego County (Oceanside, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, and Fashion Valley).
According to San Diego Eater, the new restaurant will feature a large sushi bar, as well as a "robata"-style cooking area. Robata is grilling foods on skewers. Blue Ocean will occupy a 3,000-square-foot facility in Carlsbad Village that was once home to Chin's Szechwan Cuisine.
According to the website, phase two of the project will include outdoor patio seating.
