Big West Pitcher of the Week (March 4, 2013)

We asked Eshelman what he thinks about his accomplishments, what he hopes to do with his career in baseball and how hard he has to work to be a top player.

Carlsbad Patch: What accomplishment are you most proud of and why?

I'm most proud of being able to be called an All American because of the many names before me here at Fullerton that were able to have the same honor. Its a great list to be on with names like Phil Nevin, Mark Kotsay, and Ricky Romero.

Carlsbad Patch: How many hours a day or week do you spend playing baseball or practicing?
I spend a lot of time during the week practicing and getting ready for the weekend, I really can't put a number on it, but its A LOT...haha.

Carlsbad Patch: What team would be your dream team to play for and why?
I would love to play for the Padres, just because of their my home town team and my favorite team for that matter.

Carlsbad Patch: Anything else you want Carlsbad Patch readers to know?
I can't thank the community enough for supporting me and giving me the motivation to get better.
