Carlsbad McDonald's Reopens with New Look, Gives $1,200 to Pac Rim and Jefferson Elementary

Jefferson Elementary and Pacific Rim each get $600 after McTeacher Night fundraisers.

The McDonald's off Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad gave away a 42-inch flat-screen TV during the grand reopening celebration May 11 and gave approximately $600 to Pacific Rim Elementary and Jefferson Elementary after two "McTeacher's Night" fundraisers May 8 and 14.

During the McTeacher fundraisers, teachers and administrators worked behind the counter to handle orders. In return, 25 percent of restaurant sales during that time were donated to the participating schools.

“As a local business, we’re proud to help Carlsbad schools during our reopening celebration and hope the community will join us in supporting Pacific Rim and Jefferson Elementary,” said  local Owner/Operator Kris Schulz.

Highlights of the redesigned Carlsbad restaurant include a completely new exterior patio seating with a sun screen, landscaping that complements the community and a double-lane drive-thru. Inside there is new furniture, flat-screen TVs, new payment options at the register and four “Touch2Play” units, which feature more than 65 electronic games for children 3 years of age and older.
