Pet Expo, Wine Festival and Mud Run Race Into North County

You made it to the weekend, now what? Patch has you covered for North County happenings on June 1-2.

CAMP PENDLETON MUD RUN

  • What’s Up: Watch runners race through a 10K with hills, mud, six water points and more. Or grab your running shoes and hurdle your way through the challenging course. 
  • When: 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 1 & Sunday, June 2.
  • Where: Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Oceanside. 
SAN DIEGO COUNTY ART COLLECTION TOUR
  • What’s Up: Hop aboard a daytime excursion led by Artist Jay Johnson and Public Art Consultant Gail Goldman. The bus trip will journey down to new County of San Diego Administration Center in Kearny Mesa. The collection will showcase 22 art works by 14 artists.
  • When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.
  • Where: Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA), 704 Pier View Wy., Oceanside.
  • Price: $50-$60.
ENCINITAS ROTARY WINE FESTIVAL
  • What’s Up: Encinitas Rotary will host the 10th annual Wine Festival. The festival will feature international wines, local craft beer, live music, silent auction, raffle and more.
  • When: 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1.
  • Where: San Diego Botanic Gardens, 230 Quail Gardens Dr., Encinitas.
  • Price: $90-$130.
CITY OF ENCINITAS PET HEALTH EXPO
  • What's Up: Are you a pet owner? The Pet Health Expo will feature vendors, booths, best trick competition, animal rescue organizations and more.  
  • When: 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 2. 
  • Where: Encinitas Civic Center, 505 S. Vulcan Ave., Encinitas.
  • Price: Free.
MAINLY MOZART CHAMBER PLAYERS CONCERT
  • What’s Up: Chamber players and members of the Mainly Mozart Festival Orchestra will perform a concert accompanied by commentary. The concert will feature music by Lutoslawski and Beethoven.
  • When: 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.
  • Where: Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium, 1775 Dove Ln., Carlsbad.
  • Price: $25.
