San Diego Chargers Spend Time Playing Carlsbad

Charger players, cheerleaders and members of the team
spread out across San Diego County Monday to thank fans for their support as
part of the team's "Thank you San Diego Day.''

Charger linebackers including star rookie Manti Te’o, Jarret Johnson, Donald Butler, Larry English and James Mouton had some fun at Legoland in Carlsbad.

They shook hands with fans, posed for photographs and handed out game
tickets.

They also had a hand in helping assemble the world's largest Lego model which will be unveiled at Legoland California to park guests on June 14. Several of the Chargers team members helped Master Model Builders assemble laser cannons to the life-sized LEGO X-wing starfighter.

The X-wing is a 1:1 replica made of five million LEGO bricks that took a team of 32 Master Model Builders more than 17,000 hours to construct. The model weighs more than 45,000 pounds, stands 11 feet tall, stretches 43 feet long and has a wingspan of 44 feet.
