Weather Forecast for the Long Weekend

A mixture of sun and clouds is expected, and skies should stay dry.

The skies over Carlsbad are expected to stay dry over the Memorial Day weekend, although some clouds may roll in Friday night and linger and wind gusts may pick up on Saturday. The National Weather Service forecast for Carlsbad this weekend:

Friday night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 58. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south.

Saturday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. West wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Sunday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 63. Breezy, with a west wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Memorial Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66.

Monday night: Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 56.
