World's Largest Lego Model Unveiled in Carlsbad

The world's largest Lego model, which depicts a "Star Wars'' X-wing starfighter is 43 feet long, 11 feet tall, weighs nearly 46,000 pounds and includes around five million Lego bricks, according to Legoland California Resort.

It took 32 model builders about 17,000 hours to complete. The X-wing was built in honor of "LEGO Star Wars The Yoda Chronicles,'' a new show on the Cartoon Network, featuring Yoda, the Jedi Master, park officials said. The model made its debut recently in Times Square in New York City. It will be at Legoland through the end of the year.
