When active shooter incidents occur, everyone needs to be prepare to take lifesaving action.

In 2010 a shooting took place at Kelly Elementary in Carlsbad that fortunately ended without any deaths. Since then we've reported about several mass shootings including the shooting in Aurora, CO and Newton, CT tragedy.

Instructor Ron Hackenberg, a former police chief with 35 years' experience, will teach students to assess their environments in a new light and become prepared to take appropriate actions if/when the need arises. Hackenberg teaches that awareness and preparation are more important than physical ability and survival techniques can be mastered regardless of age or physical condition.Seating limited and reservations are required. For more information or to secure a spot, please visit www.csusm.edu/temecula or call (951) 676-9254.
