Thank You to the Women's Institute of Financial Education for the Local Divorce Workshops!

 A big thank you to Ginita Wall and Candace Bahr, founders of WIFE.org for sharing an incredible resource in North County. I'm a "Chicken Soup for the Soul" author, mom and advocate for women, and these two are providing a HUGE service to women in North County.

Sadly, over half of us end up divorced and have no clue which way to turn. On 7.14 , I attended “Second Saturday: What women need to know about Divorce.”  Sitting in a room with almost 40 women getting valuable, non-biased information from a lawyer, mediator, financial expert and a counselor was incredibly inspiring and made me realize how little I knew when I got divorced and how valuable something like this would have been! The information and tools offered were incredibly empowering and made me see so clearly that women are so not alone in this process, and that no one needs to be a victim!

 To make it even more meaningful, the $45 attendance fee goes back into the community in the form of scholarships for women or new programs for WIFE.org.  How lucky North County is to have this monthly resource for such an incredibly challenging, life-altering event.  A separate Divorce Workshop for Men is also offered – kudos to Ginita and Candace for 24 years of helping everyone they can through WIFE and Second Saturday.
