Batiquitos Lagoon Volunteers Needed: Trail Maintenance

The Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation has ongoing
monthly activities that include:  monthly
trail maintenance the first and third Saturday of each month 9 am-noon; a
monthly bird count, the second Friday of each month, at 7:30 am; and also each
month, a casual volunteer orientation on the fourth Saturday, noon
to 1:30 pm. This is an ideal time for people to find out more about the lagoon
and more about the organization. 

For
trail maintenance and the volunteer orientation, meet at the Batiquitos Lagoon
Foundation Nature
Center located at the end of Gabbiano Lane in Carlsbad.  For the monthly bird count, meet at the Gabbiano Lane trail

head.  Directions: take the Poinsettia
Lane exit off of I-5 in Carlsbad and proceed east, making a right turn ontoBatiquitos Drive. Gabbiano Lane

is the first street on the right.
