Community Corner

Grape Gatsby Affaire VII

April 26 will be the Kiwanis Club of Sunrise Vista's seventh annual Grape Gatsby Affaire. Proceeds from this event go to help homeless children in the community through organizations such as StandUp for Kids and Vista Teen Outreach. In addition, we provide a book treasure chest for students in low income schools and the Bringing Up Gradesprogram to encourage a focus on education. Programs, such as Key Club, foster youth leadership skills and a commitment to community service for our high school students.
Sunrise Vista's annual fundraiser to support these programs and more is a step back in time to the Roaring Twenties for an evening of wine and beer tasting, food sampling, music and classic cars. There will be more than 20 wine vendors and 10 restaurants serving at this event. Attendees may participate in a 1920s costume competition, live and silent auctions, a photo booth and the good company of some of the most dedicated community members in San Diego North County.
The Grape Gatsby Affaire is Saturday, April 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Vista Civic Center, 200 Civic Center Drive. Tickets are on sale for $75 apiece and may be purchased here: http://www.grapegatsby.com/#!tickets-contact/c20x9  or through any Kiwanis Club of Sunrise Vista member.
