LIGHT FALLING DOWN by Aimee Greenberg GALA EVENT!

Oceanside Theatre Company is having a Gala Fundraiser on Saturday, November 2. Ticket to Gala includes reserved seating at the world premiere of  Carlsbad resident Aimee Greenberg's new play LIGHT FALLING DOWN - directed by Christopher Williams. "Inspired by true stories, LIGHT FALLING DOWN illuminates the nature of survival and the resiliency of the female spirit." THIS IS A 'DON'T MISS' - tickets to GALA available online at www.oceanside theatre.org - click on Saturday, Nov. 2!  in addition to the show, a Gala ticket includes appetizers, dinner, drinks, dessert and coffee afterwards with a  post-show talk with Ms. Greenberg!       Set against the backdrop of WWII in Poland (1942) and present day California, Ms. Greenberg’s play is a haunting and illuminating drama inspired in part by the true stories of female survivors of the Shoah, now living in Southern California. The story follows Alice who finds a young Jewish girl hiding underground in her garden.  Alice is faced with the decision to either turn her in to the Nazis or to keep her hidden in the dark.  But Alice has a secret, too.  Intertwined is the story of Tuvia, her daughter Ava, and a neighbor in California today.  LIGHT FALLING DOWN explores the nature of survival, the human spirit, and forgiveness.
