California State University's Institute for Palliative Care Presents: Partners in Caring:A seminar for Faith Leaders on End-of-Life Care

Are you prepared? Faith leaders may feel unprepared to care for people coping with complex medical, ethical and interpersonal issues that often surround a person's last days. Seriously ill and dying individuals and their families often turn to you for support.

This one-day seminar is designed to help Southern California community


religious professionals gain greater confidence in supporting people at


life's end. Leaders of all faiths welcome. This program is also ideal


for MFTs, LCSWs and other professionals dealing with end-of-life


situations.

  • Setting end-of-life care goals
  • Legal issues of life-sustaining treatment and advance directives
  • Pain management & misconceptions
  • How to partner with medical teams
  • Ways to address the spiritual needs of patients and families
  • How to facilitate communication & be present with the dying
