This 90-minute presentation will let the audience join in on great conversations and live performances by Southern California's finest musicians. Listen to jazz, learn about jazz and talk about jazz: part performance, and part conversation, each session lets the sudience head backstage to take five in the green room with San Diego's top performers and sit in on some irresistible music.
Palomar College boasts two 17-piece jazz ensembles, for daytime and nighttime students. Night Ensemble director Paul Kurokawa has toured the world playing trumpet and singing at famous locales including Carnegie Hall. That wealth of experience benefits the budding musicians of Palomar Jazz, a tight, hot group that reflects Kurokaway's artistry, professionalism and sheer delight
