Brad Dacus, Founder of Pacific Justice Institute to Speak at Carlsbad Republican Women June Luncheon

Brad Dacus, founder of Pacific Justice Institute, will be the guest speaker at the Carlsbad Republican Women Federated Luncheon, Tuesday, June 26, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 6450 Carlsbad Blvd in Carlsbad. The primary mission of Pacific Justice Institute is to provide rigorous defense for families and religious organizations when their constitutionally guaranteed freedoms are threatened.

Currently, Pacific Justice Institute has joined with other pro-family leaders in California to promote the CLASS Act Initiative (Children Learning Accurate Social Studies) in the wake of the passing of SB 48 in January of this year.  SB 48 mandates an emphasis on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons in history and social science classes. “We urge parents to contact us immediately if their kids encounter hostility or ridicule for not joining an objectionable event”, cautioned Dacus.

In 1997, he founded Pacific Justice Institute and has gained national prominence for his unprecedented success in defending faith and family. With a network of approximately a thousand volunteer affiliate attorneys, all legal representation is free of charge to clients, which includes churches, families and employees.  Other cases involve separation of Church and State – challenging overzealous government officials who seek to stifle private expressions of faith.

To make a reservation for the luncheon, please RSVP by Thursday, June 21 to Jackie Peacock at 760-390-4452 or jpeacock2306@gmail.com.   The cost is $29 for members and $35 for non-members.

A local unit of the National Federation of Republican Women, the Carlsbad Republican Women Federated is organized to promote the cause of women in good government including: voter education, legislative issues; advocacy and legislative lobbying; county-wide voter registration, get-out-the-vote (local, state, national); Republican candidate selection and support; community involvement; financial outreach to local Young Republicans, College Republicans, as well as support of our military and other "Caring for America" activities. We welcome all to attend monthly meetings. More information is available at www.carlsbadrepublicans.com.
