Now in its 30th year, the Celebrity Chefs Cook Gala, benefiting the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, is one of San Diego’s premier fundraising events. The evening of “Epicurean Elegance” will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, and showcases award-winning local and out-of-town chefs presenting signature hors d’oeuvres paired with fine wine prior to an elegant dinner.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a reception, as our approximately 450 guests visit the chefs’ stations to sample hors d’oeuvres that are paired with complementary wines donated by a winery or distributor.
The event also features the annual Spirit Award, which will be presented to Iris and Matthew Strauss for their generous support of the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center. The Spirit Award recognizes individuals who encourage and inspire the pursuit of excellence in patient care and research.
The evening concludes with dancing.
