If You Get Close Enough, You're Going to Get Kissed

Rancho Coastal Humane Society's Pet of the Week:

"Socks” is the pet of the week at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He’s a 2-year-old, 60 pound, Pit Bull.

His previous family surrendered him to RCHS because they didn’t have time to spend with him.

He’s a strong and active guy who needs time with his people…. whether that’s doing tricks, going for walks, or snuggling up for a nap.

Socks knows, “Fetch,” “Sit,” and “Shake.” He’s eager to make people happy, and he would love to learn more.

He’ll need an active family that will include him in their activities. Socks would love to be your hiking or running partner.

The care providers in the kennels says that Socks is “beefy and athletic.” Take a minute to watch his video and you’ll see for yourself.

Socks will do best in a home with no small children. If you already have a dog…that’s great! Socks loves dogs.

Just one more thing… that you need to know. When Socks isn’t busy running, playing, fetching, and showing off his cute, crooked ears…his favorite this to do is snuggle with his people. He loves to snuggle! He would crawl inside your clothes with you, if he could. If you get close enough, you're going to get kissed.

The $145 adoption fee for Socks includes medical exam, vaccinations, neuter, and microchip.

Find your best friend at Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas or log on to SDpets.org. Call 760-753-6413 for more information or to sponsor a pet until it’s adopted. Kennels and Cattery open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Monday.
