According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Some of these people reside in Southern California; they could be a family member, friend, colleague or neighbor.

More than one million people are diagnosed with cancer each year. Many will need blood, sometimes daily, during chemotherapy. A single car accident victim may require as many as 100 pints of blood.

Donating Blood is Easy

Blood cannot be manufactured; it flows only from generous donors. The blood donation typically takes less than 15 minutes.
