Twas the weekend before Christmas, and there's so much to see, Patch found activities to do for all of North County.

Stroll through the Village in Carlsbad and listen to holiday tunes or head to Encinitas and listen to actor Dennis Quaid rock out to jazz blues.

Kick start your weekend with some holiday cheer because soon enough Santa will be here.

What's Up: Stroll through a village and catch live musical performances by Carlsbad High School Caroling Company.
When: Friday, Dec. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: The Village, 2961 State St, Carlsbad.
Price: Free

What's Up: Listen to holiday jazz music while you browse through a gallery art featuring North County artists.
When: Saturday, Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Sunshine Brooks Theater 217 N Coast Hwy, Oceanside.
Price: $25.

What's Up: The classic holiday ballet, The Nutcracker will dance and leap into Carlsbad.
When: Saturday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m.
Where: Carlsbad Cultural Arts Center, 3557 Monroe St, Carlsbad.
Price: $10.

What's Up: Hollywood actor, Dennis Quaid is also a singer and guitarist. Dennis Quaid and the Sharks will perform live featuring rock n roll and country soul music
When: Saturday, Dec. 22 at 9 p.m.
Where: Bellyup, 143 S Cedros Ave, Solana Beach.
Price: $27 in advance or $29 at the door.

What's Up: Do you still need a holiday gift? Learn how to different types of poinsettias using pipe cleaners, toilet paper, and tissue paper.
When: Sunday, Dec. 23 from Noon to 4 p.m.
