Labor Day Weekend Festivities at Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa

Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa will welcome local residents and overnight guests alike forthree days of Labor Day festivities from August 30 to September 2, 2013.

Located directly across from Carlsbad State Beach at the intersection of Carlsbad Boulevard and Ponto Road, the recently opened resort will commemorate Labor Day with a South of the Border dining celebration at its poolside Fire Lounge, scheduled for 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 31. The South of the Border celebration will feature a fully-loaded taco bar, margarita station, quesadillas, lobster and shrimp tacos, Mexican ice cream and a Mexican draft beer station, along with mariachi music and a performance by the Mario Olivares Latin trio during the afternoon and evening. 

The property will also show movies for registered guests on both Friday and Saturday evening, while its Chandler’s Restaurant and Lounge will offer 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. public Happy Hour on each day of the weekend, providing $2 savings on wines by-the-glass, plus beer and cocktail specials and selected appetizers. Outside service will also be available at the resort Pool Bar from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each day of the weekend, and the pool grill will offer its daily menu offerings from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Capping off the extended weekend, Labor Day Monday will be saluted with afternoon/evening beer flights and pairings at Chandler’s.
