5 Small Steps for Big Local Savings
Make the most of your money by taking advantage of half-price museum admission, free baby sign language classes, discounted salon services, and more this week.
These days, everyone is looking to save a few dollars. Fortunately, living on a budget doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on any of the great things we have to do here in San Diego County. If you take advantage of local promotions and free entertainment, you’ll be able to enjoy some amazing San Diego attractions.

1. Kids Eat Free at Chili’s in February

You can enjoy dinner at Chili’s without breaking your budget this month by visiting on select days. On Feb. 15, 21, and 22, kids eat free with a paying adult. This deal is limited to kids under 12, but Chili's will give you up to two free kids meals for each adult entrée you buy.

The Lotus Den Hair Studio is located just over the Carlsbad border in Oceanside, and they have an exclusive discount for Patch readers. Just use the code “Patch” to get 25 percent off. I stopped by The Lotus Den Salon over the weekend to spruce up my look, and I was so impressed by the individual attention you get at this cozy salon.
You can enjoy a free baby/toddler sign language class on the second Thursday of every month at the . Classes start at 9:45 a.m. The next class will be Feb. 10. Baby sign language can be a great way to communicate with your baby or toddler before they are able to talk. Many parents swear it helps minimize meltdowns and other behavioral issues.
4. Half-Price San Diego Museum Admission
February is Museum Month in San Diego and participating museums are offering half-price admission. This is a great way to see some of our great local museums for a discount. You can pick up your free Museum Month Pass at any San Diego Macy’s store. Each pass is good for up to four half-priced admissions at 40 museums.
5. $2.99 Quiznos Printable Coupon
Quiznos is one of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch, and right now they have a great printable coupon good for a $2.99 Prime Rib Sub. They offer these coupons from time to time but they generally only last for a few days. Print yours now so it will be available when you want to use it.
