Mom Talk Q&A: How Do You Keep the Romance Alive While Parenting Young Children?

Finding time to date your spouse while parenting young children can be a challenge. We want to hear your tips for overcoming this parenting challenge.

Raising kids can take a toll on your relationship if you don’t work to maintain it, but sleep deprivation and temper tantrums do little to set the mood for a romantic date. Many parents are planning a night away from the kids for Valentine's Day but dating should be more than a once a year affair. You may have to be a bit creative when it comes to finding time to date your spouse when you have kids in the house but it can be done.

Finding a babysitter can be a major challenge for parents with younger children. Some have overcome this by arranging to trade babysitting with another family, scheduling a trusted babysitter in advance, or having a creative date at home after the kids have gone to bed.
