WARNING .... WARNING .... WARNING ..... WARNING ....
DON'T BUY potentially Salmonella contaminated chickens sold at COSTCO on Palomar Airport Road:
TODAY, my wife bought a two-whole chicken package from COSTCO on Palomar Airport Road. Having had heard about the Foster Farm Salmonella outbreak on the San Diego NBC News the night before, she asked the lady at the meat department if these chickens had been checked against the contaminated lot numbers. She went in the back, came out shortly, and told my wife yes they had. At home, we decided to re-check the USDA mark on the package against contaminated lot numbers (P6137, P6137A, P7632) ourselves. To our surprise, it matched one of the numbers: P7632.
We plan to lodge a complaint against COSTCO tomorrow.
