Gas Explosion at McDonalds destroys building, workers uninjured.
A gas leak caused an explosion to occur at McDonalds in Encinitas at 8:30 at the Intersection of Encinitas Blvd and El Camino Real.
Employees noticed the smell of gas just before 8:30, and quickly evacuated the building before the building exploded.
A fire marshall I spoke to said that all workers were able to make it out safely and there were no reported injuries due to the explosion.
