6 Men Arrested for Allegedly Attempting to Hire Prostitutes in North County

Six men ranging in age from 21 to 55 were jailed at the Vista Detention Facility today for allegedly attempting to hire prostitutes in the North County, authorities said.

All six men were arrested on suspicion of solicitation for prostitution Monday night during North County Prostitution/Human Trafficking Task Force operation, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Joe Mata. Details about the exact nature of the operation were withheld.

The men were identified as Mel Wilmoth, 55, Johnathan Ortiz, 21, Elrick Leekela, 23, Anthony Miranda, 26, John Martin, 40, and Manuel Cabrera, 26.
