Carlsbad Firefighter Snaps Photo of 400 Magnolia Elementary Students

The students formed a giant red ribbon at the end of Red Ribbon Week showing their enthusiasm for living alcohol-, tobacco- and drug-free.

First, 400 K-5 students and 's school mascot Louie the Lion had to form a huge red ribbon.

Then a climbed up the ladder of a fire truck parked on the playground to take photos.

Magnolia parent Susie Gordon helped organize the event with assistance from the school principal and the Carlsbad Fire Department. Gordon said, “We wanted to create an event that would be exciting and memorable. The red ribbon of students definitely fulfilled both aims!”
