Crime in Carlsbad

A look at the Carlsbad Police Department's arrest log through Sept. 26, 2011.

Unless otherwise noted, suspects were booked into County Jail in Vista.

Police arrested Nicholas Mendoza, 35, on suspicion of battery with serious injury at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 22 in the 3100 block of Washington. The alleged offense was reported shortly before 2 a.m. on the same date in the 300 block of Carlsbad Village Drive.

John E. Gordon, 23, of Plano, IL, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism shortly before 3 a.m. Sept. 25 in the 700 block of Raintree.

A 20-year-old woman identified as Desiree Yvette Lablanc was arrested on an outstanding warrant shortly before 1 a.m. Sept. 25 near the intersection of Poinsettia and Lowder lanes.

Police arrested Von-Andrez Jovain Behoorsingh, 18, of Santa Monica, on suspicion of burglary after he was detained in the 2500 block of El Camino Real at 7:39 p.m. on Sept. 23. Jermaine Vaughn Mitchell, 28, was arrested on suspicion of burglary at the same time and location, according to a separate arrest report. Behoorsingh's bail was set at $25,000. Mitchell is being held without bail on three felonies accusations that include second-degree burglary, receiving stolen property and conspiracy, according to jail records. He also faces two misdemeanors of possessing burglary tools and giving false identification to a police officer. A court appearance was scheduled for Sept. 27.

Blaine Ribas Daily, 32, no local address, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after being contacted in the 7700 block of Rancho Santa Fe Road shortly before 2 a.m. Sept. 23. Jail records show he is scheduled to appear on a felony drug possession allegation on Sept. 27. He is not eligible for bail.

A 33-year-old woman identified as Megan M. Baucom of Oceanside was arrested on suspicion of battery shortly before 11 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 300 block of Carlsbad Village Drive. Bail was $10,000.

Police arrested Sharon Mumby, 44, on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs after she was contacted in the 2600 block of Garfield at 3:22 a.m. on Sept. 23. Bail was set at $17,500.

Timothy Joseph Dean, 28, of Escondido, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance shortly after 5 a.m. Sept. 22 in the 6100 block of Carlsbad Boulevard. Bail was $5,000.
