Evacuation Lifted, Road Closures Rescinded in Carlsbad

Road closures in Carlsbad resulting from the 400-acre Poinsettia Fire have been rescinded, though public access to Ambrosia Lane remains limited to allow safety personnel to continue to work in that area, according to city officials.

Police are operating checkpoints to monitor access to previously evacuated areas.

At 6:40 p.m., the city also reported that the evacuation order has been lifted on all areas associated with the Poinsettia Fire.

The city said residents are allowed to re-enter the area and their homes. It asked resident to use caution as there is still police and fire equipment and personnel in some areas.
