Fan's 2003 Beating Death at Qualcomm Stadium Remains Unsolved

The young man was tailgating with friends and attending the KGB Sky Show when he was attacked by a mob.

More than 10 years after Jeremy Lindsay was killed outside Qualcomm Stadium, none of the unruly mob who attacked him have been identified by authorities. The 23-year-old cable installer was beaten by a group of men who confronted him in the parking lot of the stadium, where he was enjoying the annual KGB Sky Show. The crime remains unsolved.

According to police, Lindsay and a group of friends were tailgating in the stadium parking lot when some words were exchanged with another group and a fight erupted. Authorities say Lindsay was beaten into a coma by several individuals. He died in a hospital nearly two months later, never having regained consciousness.

The attack took place June 6, 2003, in the Section A2-A4 area of the stadium parking. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact authorities:

Scores of cases throughout San Diego County go unsolved by local law enforcement investigators each year. A teen thought to be a runaway has still not come home. A dangerous parolee goes missing. A parent in a custody dispute kidnaps the children. A family member who is homeless and mentally ill disappears off the street. A loved one is murdered and there are few clues or no suspect.

No matter what the circumstances, police and relatives continue to search for those who are missing and wanted. They want the son, sister, or husband home. They want justice for the victims of crimes. They want the bad guys behind bars.

Each day in October, our Patch sites will feature a different person who is missing and wanted in San Diego County. Look at their pictures. Have you seen them? Do you have information that might help them be located, or identify a suspect?

Each profile will have a phone number for you to call to provide information. Let’s help investigators close these cases!
