The FBI on Tuesday released surveillance images of an armed man who robbed a U.S. Bank branch in Carlsbad.

The robbery at the branch at 770 Carlsbad Village Drive was reported about 1:30 p.m. Friday, according to FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth.

The robber approached a teller and lifted his shirt to reveal a semi-automatic pistol in his waistband, then demanded money, Foxworth said. The suspect then walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount.

No one was injured, Foxworth said.

The robber was described as 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 7, and about 190 pounds with a medium build.

Anyone with more information as to the name or whereabouts of the robber was asked to call the FBI at (858) 320-1800, or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580- 8477.
