FBI Investigating whether Skateboarder Robbed a Carlsbad Bank

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at U.S. Bank on Carlsbad Village Drive near Jefferson Street.

Carlsbad Police's public information officer Jodee Sasway said in an email, "at 2:25 p.m. on 10/16 we received notification from a bank in the 700 block of Carlsbad Village Drive of a possible bank robbery. The male fled on a skateboard."

The U-T San Diego reported, "The robber told the bank teller he had a gun, although no one saw the weapon during the robbery, Sgt. Greg White said."

On Thursday a Chase bank was robbed in Carlsbad by a man witnesses described as "chubby."
