Former Carlsbad HS Students Caught by Police on Roof of School

The detainees told police they were playing "hide and seek." It is unclear if they will face any charges.

A pair of former students at Carlsbad High School were detained by police early Wednesday after they were caught trespassing on the roof of the school.

Police arrived at the school at about 12:30 a.m. and set up a perimeter.

According to 10News, the detainees told police they were playing "hide and seek." It is unclear if they will face any charges.

This is the second time in 10 days where there has been trespassing at the high school. On July 21, seven teens were detained, and two were arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary at the high school.

In that incident, there were extensive damages to several doors and windows at the school. The teens were all eventually released into their parents custody. It is unknown at this time if the incidents are related.
