Gunman Robs Carlsbad Hotel Early Saturday

The suspect brandishes a gun and demands money from a clerk. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Carlsbad police are searching for an armed man who robbed a hotel early Saturday morning, according to Lt. Bruce May.

The suspect covered his face as he robbed the at 2000 Faraday Ave. shortly before 4 a.m., May said.

The robber brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, who complied and handed over an undisclosed amount, May said.

The thief was described as a white male in his 20s who was about 6 feet tall. He wore black clothing and used a mask or a bandana to cover his face during the robbery.
