7 Youths Arrested in Carlsbad High School Vandalism, Burglary

Carlsbad Police found extensive damage done to the school with windows smashed and doors broken.

Two teens were apprehended early Sunday at Carlsbad High School and arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary, and five others were arrested on suspicion of trespassing after police found the campus consession stand burglarized. All of the teens were released to their parents' custody.

Carlsbad Police Lt. Peter Pascual said a call came in about 1 a.m. about vandalism at the school at 3557 Monroe St.

Pascual said extensive damage was done to the school with windows smashed and doors broken. "The parents could be held responsible for the damages and the financial loss,'' Pascual said.
