Lake Elsinore Police Assist With Starbucks Ruckus

At approximately 11:52 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the Starbucks at Collier and Central avenues.

A commotion that broke out at a Lake Elsinore Starbucks late Thursday morning was the result of a medical call that turned combative, a deputy is confirming.

At approximately 11:52 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Starbucks on Collier Avenue to assist fire department personnel with a male subject who needed medical attention, said Deputy Albert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The male had become combative with first responders so deputies were called in, Martinez said.

The subject, whose age and identity were not provided, was transported to an area hospital, Martinez said. His condition is unknown.

Martinez said there were no arrests made and there were no injuries to first responders.
