Motorcycle Crash in Fallbrook Kills Carlsbad Man

Jason Hunzinger, 40, died after the Friday-afternoon crash.

A 40-year-old Carlsbad man was killed Friday in a motorcycle crash in Fallbrook, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.

Jason Hunzinger was riding a motorcycle northbound on Sandia Creek Drive north of Rock Mountain Drive around 1:30 p.m. when he rounded a bend in the two-lane road. The motorcycle crossed the double-yellow line and collided with a Ford F-150, ejecting Hunzinger onto the roadway, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

A motorcyclist Hunzinger was traveling with stopped and called 911, and responding paramedics found Hunzinger with no pulse. They performed CPR, but Hunzinger was pronounced dead at Palomar Medical Center.
