Motorcycle Crashes Close Lanes of SR 78

A group of motorcycles reported to be driving recklessly was involved in a crash late Saturday morning.

Traffic headed toward Carlsbad and Oceanside on westbound state Route 78 was blocked late Saturday morning and afternoon after a group of motorcyclists was involved in a collision near Vista Village Drive, according to the Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 11:25 a.m., and a SigAlert was issued around 20 minutes later, according to CHP dispatchers. People reporting the crash told the CHP that the motorcyclists were traveling between 100 mph and 120 mph prior to the crash, and were also popping wheelies and doing other tricks.

It was unclear how many motorcycles and other vehicles were involved or if there were any injuries. All westbound lanes were blocked for a time, according to the CHP.

All lanes were reported cleared at 12:20 p.m., and the SigAlert was cancelled five minutes later, according to the CHP.

No other details have been released. Patch will update this story as more information is available.

'...MPH degree program to attend a 3-day workshop ... challenge the CNA licensure examination inRead More California.... ... Aristotle felt that by becoming licensed professionals in the U.S. shortly after their arrival to the shores of the U.S., they would have a greater opportunity to receive better clinical positions when they applied for the work-study internships that they were eligible to participate in....' the school told students that were enrolled in masters' degrees that certification as a cna was part of the road to obtaining a masters degree ?? stop right there... masters in public health is an administrative position that has nothing to do with being a cna....and i'm sure people didn't travel thousands of miles to do the grunt work in a hospital.... yea, getting a cna license is a great suggestion for an 18 year old that's going into the nursing field....but not for someone in the masters' program.... and fyi phony college.....in this country a person has to have a 4 year degree before they can apply for the masters' program....
