Members of Carlsbad Police and Fire Departments went bald this past weekend to help support children with cancer at Rady Children's Hospital.

raised $4,330 on Sunday for the “Be Brave and Shave” event that was hosted by Sport Clips Haircuts in San Diego.

A total of 40 police officers, firefighters, and citizens from around then county took part raising $18,700 for pediatric cancer research at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego.
