Suspects Attempt to Burglarize Chase Bank

The incident happened Wednesday morning at the bank on Palomar Airport Road.

Two suspects attempted to burglarized a Chase Bank early Wednesday.

According to the Carlsbad Police Department, two suspects were using cutting tools in an attempt to force open an exterior ATM at the Chase Bank on Palomar Airport Road. The suspects abandoned their efforts and left the area in a “lifted” red Ford Pickup truck.

The incident happened around 1:52 a.m.

Officers located the pickup truck, unoccupied, a short distance from the bank.  Carlsbad Police officers, a San Diego Sheriff’s Department Air Support helicopter and a Carlsbad Police K-9 team searched the area for the suspects, but they were not located.

A cutting torch was found in the pickup truck, which was seized as evidence. Police said they are currently investigating the incident.

There have been a lot of bank robberies in Carlsbad lately, what is going on??? Where are the police and adequate security measures. It seems this town is being targeted badly, and it makes me feel unsafe.
