The fire broke out around 4:40 p.m. Sunday in a second story unit at the Lime Grove Apartment off Chinquapin Ave.

Ten fire engines and two trucks from Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista Fire Departments responded to a fire Sunday at the Lime Grove Apartments in Carlsbad.
