Thanks for checking, I'm not sure why they'd need a helicopter flying around for 20 minutes if the suspect was arrested immediately. Maybe "immediately" is anything under a day?

Walmart would have us all believe that everything at Walmart id a steal, so thee was no crime.

I just looked on the CrimeMapping site. I set the date for between August 11-16 (although that isn't even a whole week) and I can see 21 crimes for this period, including alcohol and drug violations, sex crimes, fraud, vehicle break-ins, theft/vandalism, and burglary. The patch crime reports shows just 3 crimes during the same period. It would be a good journalistic venture to find out why patch always reports only a fraction of the crimes. Perhaps the sheriff has directed patch to use data that is not posted in a timely manner. Sure makes the patch crime reports look ridiculous.

For the week July 22-29 (which is more than a week), patch reported 8 crimes. There are 38 crimes showing on crimemapping.com

Thanks, Chris. We went off the emails the company sends to us each week but we'll be sure to double-check on the website from now on.
