Woman Hit by Vehicle in North County
The driver of the vehicle was not injured and alcohol was not believed to be involved in the crash.
A woman suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized when she was hit by a vehicle, Carlsbad police said today.
The woman suffered serious injuries to her head, back and legs when she was struck around 8:43 p.m. Friday. The incident was near Palomar Airport Road and El Camino Real, Lt. Greg Koran said.
The woman was transported to Palomar Hospital to be treated for her injuries, Koran said. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and alcohol was not believed to be involved in the crash.

A Carlsbad Police dispatcher today said more details about the crash including the extent of the woman's injuries was not immediately available.
