Brown Signs Bill in Honor of Carlsbad Woman

The new law will force offenders to wear GPS tracking devices, according to a local report.

Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill into law on Monday in honor of a Carlsbad woman, according to the North County Times.

The law—named after Kathleen Scharbarth who was killed in her Carlsbad home last year—forces those with domestic violence charges to wear GPS tracking devices, according to the newspaper.
