The state government will now be responsible for fire protection for a controversial power plant.
The state will now be responsible for fire protection for a proposed power plant in Carlsbad, according to U-T San Diego.
The City Council approved the move Tuesday night amid the five-year battle over the proposed power plant that will be adjacent to the Encina Power Station, according to the newspaper.
