On Oct. 4, the Board of Trustees voted all in favor of reinstating Fine Free Wednesdays.  Any late materials, with the exception of museum passes and some items borrowed outside of the CW MARS network, will not incur library fines if returned on Wednesdays.

“Many people asked us to bring back fine free Wednesdays. We are glad to be able to do that, especially in these difficult economic times.  We want to do everything we can to encourage people to use our library.” said Susan Laufer, Marlborough Trustee Chair.

Fine Free Wednesdays will begin again on Oct. 12.

They should never have taken them away! And somebody should impose a limit on the fine of a book. The Boston Public Library used to have a limit of a $1.25 per book. Think about it library!
