Give Input this Week at Meetings about Area Parks

The city is developing a needs assessment and action plan for the park system. The reports are expected to be completed by this fall.

The city of Carlsbad is scheduled to host the first of two public meetings Tuesday Feb. 19 to receive input on the future of area parks.

"The Carlsbad community has always valued healthy outdoor lifestyles and strong social connections, and that's what our parks and recreation services are all about,'' said Mick Calarco, the city's special projects manager. "It's important to hear from residents as we plan for the future to ensure we continue to meet their needs and expectations.''

The city will also conduct online and mailed surveys, interviews and focus groups to help with its planning.
